Selene used to be at the top of her game until she lost it all. As Selene struggles to figure out who she is, in her darkest hour, she meets Hunter in an online game they both love. Hunter is everything she isn't anymore: popular, kind, and generous. Once the two team up, nothing stands in their way, but reality is anything but rosy. Will they be able to defeat the pressures they face in real life to win the top prize in-game and in love?
The characters seem somewhat flat at the beginning of the story but as time goes on they will pick up in their development, share more backstory and start to show their personalities. Nothing ground breaking, but they are solid likeable characters. The art of this story really stands out. I think it is beautifully executed and always maintains a high quality. The Story at the beginning focuses heavily on the in game world that the characters visit when gaming but also shows their life in the real world. As it goes on I feel it does show slightly more of the real world, which I personally enjoyed. There are hints of romance in the story but by chapter 44 nothing groundbreaking has happened romantically between male and female leads. The Story is entertaining enough but I find the interactions between the male and female leads to be what kept me coming back each chapter, more than the world in the game. Once the real life drama trickles in more I think it makes it more appealing as well. [Reviewed at Chp 44]
