One of my fav Manhuas!! It might be some slight bias (From reading this back when I was just starting out reading webcomics), but this webcomic always makes me well up with emotions [<s>Honestly, it probably is a bias lol</s>]The art is amazing. It’s incredibly beautiful & does well setting up the atmosphere of the story. bochuanjiujiuzi is a very good artist & they managed to make all the characters in this story very good looking too. I like “glittery” effect specially in it. It’s really quite pretty !The characters (& more specifically their relationships) are quite intriguing too.Jiu Tao is the self serving prince of the netherworld. And Gu Yu is the defensive & straight forward girl who enters the netherworld in search of her missing childhood friend Wu. They are both pretty different when it comes to how they often express themselves, but are also kinda similar in a few tiny ways. To put it simply, both are idiots XD. Jiu Tao is a persistent idiot, while Gu Yu is a defensive idiot. This sometimes causes the two to misunderstand each other. But, exactly because Jiu Tao can be so persistent when it comes to the expression of his feelings & exactly because Gu Yu can get so defensive about the expression of her feelings, the silly misunderstandings between them often don’t last long, (Honestly, a good chunk of the times, within the same chapter or two, they are successfully able to get across to one another in their own ways & the misunderstanding clears up.)[Honourable mention: Jiu Tao & Lian Ren’s relationship]Jiu Tao, while as self serving as he is at times, also has a hard time understanding/accepting his own feelings at times too. Such is specially evident in the time after he had returned from the human world. A good while after he had returned, in the back of his mind he had already started to realize that maybe he is no longer mad at Gu Yu anymore. But because he was previously persistent that this was the end of his & Gu yu’s relationship he failed to even realize this mental forgiveness & was emotional over emotions that weren’t even there. Not letting himself (emotionally) get close to Gu Yu once she had entered the ghoul world as a nightingale. Perhaps, him so quickly willing to become closed off & shutting off the emotions he had once felt for Gu Yu could be because of Lian Ren. And I’m honestly pretty sure that was a big reason as to why he became like that. Specially considering how big a part of Jiu Tao’s life Lian Ren used to be.[I had a segment planned for Lian Ren & Gu yu too, but I forgot what I wanted to write]The pacing is decent. The world building (while nothing over the top flabbergast worthy) is pretty interesting. Specially the whole history of the royal family bit & how they were cursed. Also, the plot about Gu yu being a ghoul?? Damn. But also it fits ig. It also helped answer some of my earlier questions in this series.Once again the art style is just, ❤️‼️😭One of my favourites. I still have this series as my desktop profiles.All in all, I would recommend. Even as just a light read it’s a fairly good series.

Now I feel so empty. I finished another good read again. 🥺 I read this years back before when it was ongoing I think and dropped along the way. Glad that I saw that it's been completed and came back. I love how fun the story is! ML, and FL is a really good match! 2nd lead syndrome is also strong so be ready your heart!!! 👌🏻 Overall, this is definitely a recommended read. 💕

Be careful when looking for translations, there are numerous chapters that are dupluicated, but the duplications are put inbetween random chapters, making it hard to read the chapters in order. If you can find one that doesnt have this issue, it is overall a pretty good story. Could be better, but it is good quality. Art could be a bit more polished in some chapters though.
