Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M - Reviews

Lads honestly....forget Fire Force and read this decent 20 volume old skool manga that literally shows you how fire crews work behind the scenes. To give you a one sentence overview on this manga, it's basically about a 18 year old ex-delinquent Daigo, who becomes a firefighter after he was saved by a fireman at age 6. Like man, this manga literally will take you on his journey as if you're there to see what is to be a "natural" firefighter. I can't tell you how much painful trials rookies have to go through. In some of the scenes where he attends a "Rescue Training" , if you dont do what you're asked even the smallest things, you will be given a penalty up to 20 pushups!!!!! Like bro, that's craaaaaazy!!!!!!!!!!!

I know the art may be old but my God man, when Daigo or anyone involved in the story smiles, my heart skips a motherfudging beat like so much emotions runs through you when that happens! Mr Soda-San definitely knows how to pull my heartstrings xD

You actually wouldn't think how deadly it is to be working as a firefighter until you read this book and see for yourself. It's too bad that this series is so underrated because it does give you a realistic insight (apart from Daigos dangerous shenanigans on always saving people) on how firefighters deal with everyday fire rescue cases. The story was super addicting, to me personally it mightnt be a masterpiece but it's really a fun ride to experience the main character going through different circumstances. Daigo, Gomi, Kanza, Miki(think that's that lieutenant woman's name) and Amakasu were the most interesting characters throughout this manga. I didn't like Jun and Ochiai much because they just are your usual generic "damsels in distress" who do f all just to wait for Daigo to rescue em.

Apart from that one complaint, you guys should definitely read this manga if you have spare time. It's just a classic gem worth being recognised!
