In order to fulfill their goal of a perfect victory they'll have to take on teams from countries like Mexico, Italy, France, Germany, and the mysterious and godlike Team Greece.

After defeating Black Shaft's makeshift Team America, the Golden Japan Jr. team returns to training for the World Tournament that will be held in Tokyo. But during training the Shadow Clan, who was written out of Japanese boxing history due to its deadly use of the style, kidnaps Kiku in order to lure Ryuji and the others into a fight to see who's truly the better representatives of Japan's junior boxers.

Ryuuji Takane has successfully become the Japanese Junior Champion after winning the Champion Carnival. He, Kazuki, Takeshi, Ishimatsu and the rest of the gang have their sights set on the upcoming World Junior Boxing Tournament, but before that they must participate in a special battle with America's team. Headed by the American Junior Champion, Black Shaft, the rival team will be tough to handle. Black Shaft has his own reasons for fighting Ryuuji and the gang, and he's recruited a convict and other dangerous individuals to ensure his victory...

Ryuuji Takane is a young boxer who's determined to make it big and become a champion. His sister, Kiku, stands by his side as his trainer; together, they aim for the top. Ryuuji's first challenge is a middle school boxing tournament in which his arch rival Jun defeats him in the final round, though crippling his own arm in the process. Though victorious, due to his injury Jun suggests Ryuuji take his place in the Champion Carnival, an upcoming competition filled with the strongest of the strong. And so, Ryuuji and Kiku set forth to train hard and prepare for the Champion Carnival. With the help of his newly-learned ‘Boomerang Hook' skill  and sheer will power, Ryuuji will do whatever it takes to win the title!

 Joe Yuuki, one of the coolest DJs in Shibuya, has a secret identity as the leader of gangs. Because of his traumatic childhood, he fiercely hates "weaklings" and sees winning as his only option in life. One night, an old man is being taunted by the kid known as "the human punching bag." The old man reminds Joe of his parents and childhood, and he uncontrollably challenges the kid to a fight. A fight in which he's defeated, and his pride is utterly shattered into pieces.
