Talk about boring. Extra Heavy Syrup is a short, mission-based series about two girls who are looking for clues about their ex boyfriend while trying to 'clean' what's needed. It could have been an interesting story but at only 2 chapters is far too short to get into. Not to mention nothing is resolved with the girls! I can liken EHS barely to something like Rose Hip Zero, but the manga reminded me more of anime such as Get Backers. Overall, I'd suggest avoiding this one.

Hmm, okay so there are two chapters about Yuki and Emiri and then the final chapter is apparently a continuation of Baby Pop or something. Let's talk about the chapters involving Yuki and Emiri first. The two of them work together in the Syrup Cleaning Service, where they do everything from janitorial work to corpse retrieval to international espionage. The hook is that they are both waiting for Akira Kojou, a man they both claim is their boyfriend, to return. Kojou seems to be keeping an eye on them and giving them assignments from the shadows, which for some reason gave me Charlie's Angels vibes. After each successful mission, they are given items which fe's come into contact with (like cigarette butts) and they enshrine them. The first chapter was okay, probably because of the action scenes. The second chapter was much worse, largely because it attempted to apply quantum theory to romance and interpersonal relationships. Its attempts to be intellectual and reflective just came across like hooey. In the final chapter, there are four stories which connect together in various ways. The most obvious connection is pertaining to the unfinished manga "We Are Also in Arcadia" which several of the characters are fans of and one of the characters was the author of. The author is Tamakawa Rie, and fe had dropped the series because of a trauma in feir past. The two fans of the work are Mika and Aki. Mika is a socialite and feir girlfriend is self-conscious about having had plastic surgery. Not much more to say about them. Aki is a sexually awkward virgin who's gotten involved with the yakuza. Fe has some high adrenaline, life-threatening experiences alongside a girl fe recently met named Kina and along the way, Kina tells fem about feir past trauma. The fourth party in all of this is the photographer Okuno Ryonosuke, who from context I gather was a character in Baby Pop. Fe may have superpowers?
