All over the place. Very messy. The plot is very confusing and no one knows the direction where it's going. Very dragging and too many unnecessary scene fillers. I'd say it's a complete trash if not for the art style. Dropped.

The setup for this story started off good. What went wrong?!?! It set the seeds of the mood, dynamics between the characters and what were to be expected. I wanted to see more of Durora's handling of Nocton who was experimenting to see how much longer she was sticking to him because of his powers. I wanted to see more of this push and pull. However they started to run into walls and really got to nowhere. The characters motives are still unclear and the story conflicts at hand are lost. If Nocton is the villain, why do they keep hanging around him? The mysterious secret to unravelling whether or not his feelings to Durora are sincere is not enough to drive this story through. It keeps plateauing a lot that even though there' a lot happening, the story feels so slow and unexciting. Nocton is too 2D of a character, and I feel the author should explore more how to make him more dynamic as a villain/male lead (despite he's the 2nd male lead of story universe). This story/manhwa is a mistake.

I really like this story, so idk why everyone else gave it such garbage ratings.

There's a lot of dark magic and brainwashing, and the ML seems to be a evil villain (but he's actually a pretty sweet guy who genuinely loves the FL). There are a lot of misunderstandings between the male and female leads, that we as readers find out as the story progresses. However, FL still doesn't know everything and is still figuring it out. Its pretty wild that the ML is keeping so many secrets, and it annoys me that he doesn't just come clean, but we're getting there.

I'm not big on complicated romances, but this one just makes me feel excited because I don't know what'll happen next.

Also, the other two characters, Alice (FL's BFF) and the fake fiancee also have quite a compelling romantic arc. Plus, I just love Alice's character - she's always looking out for her best friend and protecting her even though it's dangerous to deal with the ML. She's really awesome and I love her 😍.

Some people blame Dulua for not accepting the ML's feelings and not believing him when he says he loves her. But I like that she's not being stupid in love. After all, the ML is a dark magician, has always been cold to her, and is a threat to the people around her. So I completely get why she doesn't trust him (but I also think she might have been manipulated with magic to distrust him).

It was an interesting read. The romance between the ML and FL is slow and there's only been 1 kiss scene so far (I'm on chapter 50), but it's okay cause the plot is so interesting.

Kudos to author-nim and writer-nim for writing and drawing such a great novel. Thank you so much!

At first story was really nice and interesting but it's just getting worse! Both ml and fl are extremely frustrating I just wanna kill them both! Read upto ch 42 so far and I can't keep on anymore. The only good thing about this manhwa is art!

OG summary and title are a mess.

The ML is a person who grew up with a classic villain backstory- parents hated him, he gained black magic, and he can read minds!  (No Twilight comparisons, guys.)  One day, he met the FL/MC and, somehow, he can't read her mind.  (Okay, maybe a few Twilight comparisons.) Unbeknownst to him, she's a reincarnator who read about this world before! (That's new...) though she didn't know everything about the novel and in fact never finished reading it...

The FL knows that her 'character' was originally the villainess and knows who she thinks the heroine and hero were. Both the ML and FL go about a childhood friendship in entirely the wrong way which leads to awkward shenaniganry and pigtail pulling.  But she doesn't seem to know about a lot of things the author blatantly tells the reader by switching PoVs.

This is definitely a villainess-otome-isekai but it's not a casual, comedic, happy read like most of them are.  Things are rushed along and drama is shoved down your throat while being whipped back and forth through flashbacks so fast I felt like I had whiplash after 4 chapters.  I wouldn't personally recommend it to anyone, honestly, but I don't hate it with a passion or anything... It is definitely a manhwa that exists.  That's all.  If you want a villain/isekai-girl manhwa, then have at it.  The art is pretty.
