Minnirou
2

After volume 1, you'd think the mutual kiss at the train station was a confession, and that volume 2 would be a continuation of that. No, it's not. We spend most of volume two in Tsuda's head. Him constantly thinking of how he can't ask Endou this or he can't say that. And it really makes no sense because he never tries to talk about anything. And given that there was no prior inclination of Endou rejecting him or any prior thought or dialogue of him really questioning his sexuality; it doesn't make sense why he's this way.  There's also no real back story to shape his character to be this way.  And I could literally go on a tangent on how Tsuda and Endou's individual lives are not really explored, like we barely see their families. We barely got to even know Tsuda's brother and he was in like 2 chapters or something. Tsuda and Endou also don't really even know much of each other either at this point. Huh, I did end up going on a tangent. Anyway, Everyone says Tsuda is dense but I legit couldn't believe that he could really be that dense. Every time Endou gets close, nothing happens because Tsuda is a literal coward and a brick wall.  Unlike volume 1 where you'd at least have a semblance of a dialogue between them, that shapes their relationship this time you get pretty much nothing. So when the confessions comes up between chapter 7 and 8, I don't really believe it. It just felt like there would be another round of supposed "denseness" on Tsuda's end that would cause their relationship to stagnate.  Also Chiba's confession was just bad. It felt like a way to Blame Endou for everything, labeling him as the coward despite what he confessed, again in Volume 1. Especially cuz things didn't go her way either, with Tsuda. I was noticing that the author was going for a Chiba had a crush on Tsuda route. I tried to ignore it cuz it just felt really wrong. It really ruined it. Cuz in Volume 1 Chibas friend was used as a plot to push Tsuda and Endou together and in Volume 2 Chiba was used as well. Like there was no other prospect of them just having friends that are girls.  Also also, despite this volume being more legible; It still fails at making sense of these random heart felt moments. It randomly brings up poetic words and phrases to be meaningful. It's forced and makes no sense most of the time. Like for instance, I legit don't know what Tsuda's brother meant at his last scene in like chapter 6 or something.
