During an uneventful bullet train ride, a catastrophic event occurs and buries the train and its passengers alive in a collapsed tunnel. Bloodied and broken bodies are strewn everywhere, and only three students aboard survive: Teru, Nobuo and Ako. While Teru and Ako are focused on trying to find a way out, Nobuo descends into the depths of madness, pitting the strangers against each other. With no news of what's taken place to cause this accident, Teru, Ako and Nobuo must fight to survive. However, even if they are to escape, what waits for them outside is unknown and terrifying...
I personally liked this manga a lot, I don't understand why it is so excluded by people when it tells a good apocalyptic story The premise is really interesting, after a train derails in a tunnel, 3 kids try to survive until help arrives, but then when they somehow manage to get out, they find themselves having to face a reality much worse than that that they expect... although it does not present major twists or well-thought-out narrative plots, this story in its being shows you kids trying to survive in a despotic world by continuing to move forward in the hope of being able to find something at the end of this journey, perhaps the only flaw is the final part in which they could have given more explanations and more context to what was happening but in itself I found the ending absolutely brilliant for how everything should have ended The protagonists are kids trying to survive in this despotic world, I found them very human both in the choices they make and in the way they try to face the challenges that arise, overall I would say I liked them Art, I found the art normal, perhaps the characters lacked a bit of detail but overall I don't have much to criticize, but I don't have much to praise either, overall quite average I absolutely recommend this manga to any lover of post-apocalyptic and survival stories, as this will probably satisfy most of those looking for this type of story
I struggled to get through this. It was not my cup of tea. It was dark (figuratively and literally), it was overly apocalyptic and it was longer than a manga that relied solely on suspense and despair should have lasted. Even the ending wasn't satisfying... This is all my opinion though, to be fair to the manga, the character development was good, though the art was bad. The story was unique, though overly long and depressing... So very depressing... Overall 2.5 for the story, it was vaguely interesting.
