Having been outed at work, shoe designer Park Seokyeon is forced to start all over. He gets a new job at “Youm,” an up-and-coming brand with an accepting work environment and generous perks. It seems like the perfect company, until Seokyeon finds out that the CEO is none other than his former crush, Jin Yeowon, the cold-hearted jerk who nearly drove him to end his own life. Now, they must work together, but will old feelings well up? Like a sudden downpour, love appears when you least expect it.
😐 I saw worse, still didnt enjoy this one. I really dont "see" those 2 together, for me there was no chemistry. It got worse after epilog ("extra" chapters or whatever) idk man💀
It's a yet another take on the "CEO and his subordinate" trope, and it's a refreshing one. It's set in a shoe company, the only one who regularly wears a suit is the CEO guy, and the CEO guy is so much, much better than many of the others that I've seen. I also love the main character. However, it comes with the usual set of issues that goes with this trope -- the power imbalance and its consequence on the plot (the CEO doing as he pleases, the MC not having much say in some things, etc). Personally, I don't think the CEO guy is as much of a jerk as some others say he is, but on the other hand, I can't say he's much of a professional/good superior/etc. It's the usual "CEO and his subordinate" trope feat. "jerk CEO" and all the other aspects. I adored the pacing during the first thirty chapters, because I like a good slow burn and the art is gorgeous. However, it threw me off past that. The art is simply the best. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who can't stand long periods of miscommunication/lack of communication.
I see potential although I'm only 20 chapters in, they look really sweet and the art is actually pretty good. There is def gonna be some hefty backstory to unravel but im so curious now about how the two relationships develop :) its a nice work kind of relationship and i think it covers it really well and its also funny at times. its a very normal casual sort of modern life manhwa, but i have high expectations with how its put together right now.
