When a young Astrid-Sophie von Oldenburg trips down the stairs, her memories of being a military geek in her previous life awaken. She remembers she’s in the world of an otome game she played in her previous life, and what’s more, she’s what people refer to as a ‘villainess’. In the game, the villainess is destined to face a destruction ending, but this Astrid-Sophie vows to be different. As she gets older, she becomes obsessed with recreating the power of modern weaponry using magical techniques, by taking advantage of the magical talent bestowed upon her. The heroine? The prince? Shaming her family? Being exiled from the country? If only a bad end is destined for her, then she has to crush it through sheer firepower!
The series is a fun but mindless read, there are no real threats and the story presented is treated as a joke. The story is light hearted and fun, with serious implications that haven't been brought up yet (42 chapters in). The characters who are given the spotlight are mostly unique and add to the story, though they haven't been fleshed out yet. Overall, worth a read if you want something lighthearted after a more serious / cynical work.
