Doki Doki Summer Beach

I really don't like the blending of altered photographs and drawings. I don't like non-drawings being used in the artwork of manga in general, but this was especially bad at blending the distinct types of images. In addition to that, the faces look flat and the "cute" girl doesn't look cute. Considering how little space this manga had to develop a story, it's strange that it includes a tangential and unnecessary scene. Namely, the beach scene. You see, the story is about how these two students are the only two in their class who went to the aquarium instead of the beach and ended up pretending to be a couple to blend in with all the other couples at the aquarium and as a result ended up growing closer. All of the important romantic developments can happen at the aquarium (not that the manga does a good job of portraying any developments). Literally the only thing that goes on at the beach is some ecchi fan service. The characters didn't stick with me. The plot was weak. The art was annoying. I don't think there's any reason anybody should subject femself to reading this.

Just a typical perverted beach story about a dorky boy and a cute girl. It felt like it should have been longer than 8 pages, but at least it was in colour!
