You get a misunderstanding!! You get a misunderstanding!! You get a poorly worded explanation that, yup that's right, leads to a MISUNDERSTANDING!! This is somewhat similar to My Secretly Hot Husband except everyone is allowed to look at the ML's (beautiful) face except for the FL. It's a somewhat convoluted situation which the manhwa explains with each chapter but this is the only wrench in their relationship thus far. Because of that one factor, they end up misunderstanding where the other person is coming from. It's a little frustrating, tbh. I could only hope that they resolve this in less than 30 chapters because my god, I want to put them in an empty room to talk about their ~ feelings ~. The art is the balm to my exasperation. The quality is superb and it's mwah chef's kiss through and through. The world the author is creating looks so soothing and beautiful, highlighting the beauty of the FL and the attractiveness of the ML. I have no complaints whatsoever with the art! The ML is the stereotypical ostracized male lead. Hot but a little dense. Since he doesn't have experience with women, he doesn't know what to say and how to say it, leading to our word of the day (MISUNDERSTANDING) throughout the story. If that's stressing you out, the misunderstandings aren't big enough to be stressful. The female lead addresses them and actually confronts the ML about it, which is a relief. I love the FL as well! She's smart and knows when to push and when to hold back, especially when it comes to her own family. The FL's family is filled with well-meaning characters shadowed by people who want to take control of their power. Without any prompting from the ML, the FL conducts herself in a graceful yet firm way befitting of her station. She exudes power by making decisions that are difficult yet fair. I love her! Best paired with a dense man who has the power and 2 braincells on average. Reviewed at Chapter 13.
Another story about a young woman living an unfortunate life getting married to the mysterious feared duke/ archduke of the north who is either really strong or has a special ability of some kind which is not really a problem for me since I really enjoy this type of stuff, my reason for only giving it 4,5 out of 5 stars is that it feels like something is missing, or perhaps im annoyed by the extremely long series of misunderstandings and poorly worded talks but I think it will resolve itself when the story is over. the things that really stands out are the characters and their backstories which are really interesting especially Vlads which is cool but a bit weird, anyways 9/10 would recommend it if you like the Damsel in Distress/ horrible Duke of the North cliches.
