Crepuscule (Yamchi)

Lark is different from the rest of the kids. He has red eyes, just like Vampires do, and he is bullied by the other kids for it. One day he meets Setz, a genuine Vampire of a Noble clan who is the only one that doesn't call him a monster or bully him. Eventually they become friends, but when Lark finds out he may have to return to the orphanage, Setz decides he does not want to lose his friend, so he invites him to his home... The world of the Vampires.

Haiiii~ (~◠▽◠)~♥ Lately, it appears to me that it's easier to find a good Manhwa (korean comics) than Manga! Manhwa are usually webcomics in full color that have a less detailed art and non complex stories... at least that what I think *shrug* So this time I'm reading & reviewing a manhwa called ''Crepuscule'' and I gotta say, this name immediately got my attention because I'm familiar with the word (it means dusk/twilight in old english). I plan to review all 3 parts of the story. I have read 40 chapters so far, will update this review when I read more. STORY The story is about a human boy with red eyes who becomes an outcast in human world (because of his eyes) and befriends a young vampire who takes him to his world. Because of his red eyes (that are typical for a vampire) he blends in well with the vampire world. Every chapter has around 30 pages, so going through chapters isn't that difficult. Also, there's a lot of funny moments, which makes reading easier. So far the story is really interesting and fun. I like the pace, development so far and how they connect certain parts of the story. So far, the story is really well written, it's easy to enjoy it and potentially get hooked on it. I'll give it an 8/10, which will most likely change as I read more chapters. ART Very cute art! I like how characters are drawn. The environment is not bad as well. There's not a lot of detail, which is not unusual for a manhwa. And given that every single page is in full color is not a bad thing. There's not a lot of action in first 40ch so don't expect any kind of dramatic art. However, and this may sound weird, but what has to be drawn well is drawn well and with more detail. Still, the art in general is definitely not bad, yet for my taste it's really good. 8/10 CHARACTERS I love all the characters so far. I love the character design of vampires. There's a wide selection of characters. We have the main character (a virgo *wink*, born 1 day before myself *wink*), the stoic character, a nice character... Also, there's some development with backstories and such, which is going in a nice direction and I can't wait to find out more about certain characters. 9/10 OVERALL I'm impressed with this manhwa, and I usually have a problem with webcomics because I am either not hyped enough (DICE, this manhwa) or the story gets really boring and predictable (Gamer, American Ghost Jack), but I'm really enjoying this one :D Even though I'm kind of over with all the vampire anime/manga (just like I'm starting to be over with all the virtual reality manga/anime that are popular today), this is one of the pieces that I feel like I missed. I like the story, I really like the setting with all the supernatural beings, and I love the characters! That's it! Thanks for reading my review! I'd recommend this manhwa to anyone who likes supernatural, fantasy and school life genres! It's great. Rate if you found this review helpful, funny, or just like it. I have more anime & manga reviews so check them out if you want! Thanks and have a nice day ^^
