It had the potential to be funny with the laundry girl Maoko being the most interesting character to annoy everyone she meets.  However it missed the mark to providing a better story...

Story:

This manga is one volume, but is divided up into several one-shot stories that are sometimes related. The stories are random and there isn't really any continuity. It's not interesting to read. If one or two of these were tweaked they could be cool horror one-shots, but alas they throw in some humor and ruin that mood.

Art:

Nothing special. However, I'm a fan of the few horror scenes. Very creapy looking.

Characters:

We don't learn much about them and there is no development. Two characters appear in most of chapters, but most appear randomly. Two others appear randomly for one story and then are not seen again; I wasn't even sure it was part of the same manga until the last panel.

Overall:

Although sometimes a bit funny, it falls short on actually being entertaining. It should have tried to concentrate on good one-shots, or linked them all together. However, the author couldn't stick with one thing and ended up with a mix of horror, comedy, and a bit of drama/romance.

I remember as a younger human, I used to be amused at gag manga like Dr. Slump and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. But when I read this manga, I don't find its stupid and nonsensical gags even slightly funny. Have I outgrown gags? Or is this manga just not all that funny? This genuinely worries me, because I dread rereading those manga I loved in my younger human days and finding myself just blankly staring at the page, unimpressed. My idyllic recollections destroyed. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I didn't enjoy this manga. I can recognize when they're intending for something to be a joke, but none of these jokes landed for me. And I'm not sure if that's just a problem with me personally or if this manga actually just sucks. Either way, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The titular premise of a woman living inside of a laundromat and creeping people out is only really relevant in the first few chapters and then it transitions into a story about an otaku girl and feir weird friend group. And the laundromat is relegated to being the room where they hang out, but they could be hanging out literally anywhere and it wouldn't change the stories for most of these chapters. Also, while I'm on the subject, when and why did Maoko and Haru become such tight friends?
