For me this light novel along with all the others is superb. The anime adaptation is horrible but the light novles are worth the read for these reasons. Firstly, the characters and their depth is no joke. The way the author makes use of the characters personalities and habit's/traits in order to prove a point or accomplish an objective is supreme. The cold heartedness of the main character along with his longing for freindship/companionship is perfectly portrayed throughout the novels. This is also the case for most side characters as well. Secondly, The story is so good that it kept me so interested I couldn't even sleep. The depth and unpredictabilty of the stories is awesome and keeps you on your toes constantly. The characters personalities and how they evolve is perfectly portrayed in the story as well. The reader can feel spite towards a character yet still look forward to their actions. It is a shame that their isn't any manga but the covers are not bad at all. dashiharu :)
