He places Kazuki into one of his inventions and accidentally sends him to the parallel world in his visions, where he finds himself in the middle of a war for control of the world! Screened together with Gundam: Mission to the Rise at Gundam's 20th Anniversary event "Gundam Big Bang Sengen" in Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall. Selected scenes from Kidou Senshi Gundam were re-edited for three giant projection screens to give the widescreen feel to the original 4:3 aspect footage. They were also computer synchronized to sweeping lights and lasers to simulate space battles. The soundtrack was remixed for six-channel surround sound.

Many years ago, Duke Fleed fled to Earth with the mighty Grandizer robot to prevent it from falling into the hands of the Vegan Empire. Hiding the robot and taking on an Earthian persona, he vowed never to pilot Grandizer again. Fast forward to the present, and a group of UFOs led by his childhood sweetheart have tracked down Duke Fleed once more. Demanding Fleed turn himself over, they give him a choice: return the Grandizer or watch Earth be destroyed! But if Mars is killed, Gaia will explode, destroying Earth along with it.
