So obviously, this is an allegorical type thing, where the idea of people feeling pressured by society is taken to a hyperbolic extreme. The friendship and support which Non-chan and Chika-chan provide to each other helps them overcome the admonishments and attempts to make them conform to societal expectations. The artwork is nice as well. I don't think it was intended to be interpreted this way, but I will say that many aspects of this story could fit in with an Inside Out type of setting--where all of the characters are manifestations of different aspects of someone's psyche. Under this interpretation, the Organization would be the negative thoughts within us that make us feel like we are never good enough or that we need to do a better job of adult-ing and the two central characters would be our more "childish" or "self-loving" impulses that can often get suppressed or overshadowed by responsibility and propriety. Honestly, I like either interpretation and the base idea is still the same either way.

As much as the art is good and the mangaka is normally fantastic with her work, I felt that this didn't need to be a one shot. It was more rushed tbh like I didn't really have a clue what was going on with the main characters. I hope Nagata expands this series in the future...
