This takes the whole idea of parents being controlling and living vicariously through their children to a whole new level. As a content warning, it should be mentioned that there are multiple suicides portrayed within these pages. The biggest problem with this series is probably the fact that the characters are acting and reacting to things in unrealistic and, at times, inconsistent ways. Like, why weren't there any attempts at negotiation? Or involving the police or exorcists or some other outside entity with power? Or even murder (not that I'd want to promote murder...)? And why did the father's motivation to be an irrational asshole suddenly disappear at the end? I dunno, I just felt like the character actions weren't the best.
