This manga is terrifying. You might love smoking, fast food and alcohol. Chances are, you have never tried to understand how stressful it is for your health. ‘I do not care. I have good health, just one more cigarette, or burger. What is the harm?’ Is it how you justify your bad habits? Then, this manga is what you are looking for.

Humans are complex biological robots that are made up of trillion of cells, each with their own structure and function. Even a single cell cannot slack off. Scientists have come a long way in estimating the number of cells in the average human body. According to the most recent estimates, the number of cells in a human body is around 30 trillion. Hataraku Saibou Black is about a fight of these 30 trillion cells against the bad habits of the owner of the body to keep him alive.

While some might argue that Hataraku Saibou and Hataraku Saibou Black look way to similar, it will be wrong to think so. Hataraku Saibou Black shows what happens to a very unhealthy body and is more aimed at a mature audience.

All in all, it is definitely a very unusual read. If you want to give up on smoking once and for all and maybe on other bad habits, this manga is what you are looking for. Be forewarned, this manga is not for kids.
