The male lead is awful and the female lead is kind of ditzy. The writing style is a bit scatterbrained as well.
This story starts with a pretty interesting premise.
The protagonist is a young woman who leads a happy life with her impoverished family. Then at some point in her life a duke who searches for a fake wife enters her life and offers to shoulder the debt of her family for her being his show wife. She immediately agrees to this offer and so her happy life as a show wife begins.
At first the story progresses in a pretty fun way but then it follows more or less a standard route of any other romance story which unfortunately lessens the appeal of this at least for me. If you are a hardcore romance fan the story from volume 3 following might catch your interest but if you're in for the fun, it gets worse.
Some little spoilers following - just venting a bit ;)
I really don't unterstand why Viola never visits her family which lives pretty nearby. She never did this on her own volition but only after the butler and co urged her to do this.
Cercis is really acting like a spoiled brat at first before he begins loving Viola - his character changed way too much after this. A bit annoying about him are the recaps which go like "oh she looks good, now i'm developing feelings for her" - and this kind of shithead should be the white knight for Viola? Really dunno... Even as a guy i think he's way too shallow before he's "in love" with her
