A Satisfying & Gory Guilty Pleasure Ok so first things first, TW for Rape, Gore, and Abuse. I would say that this manga has a loose story that it follows, but it is more episodic than an actual connected story. The MC, Hiroki Dan, sets his sights on a horrible criminal and then proceeds to brutally "punish" (Kill/torture) that criminal. The only real connection between the criminals is that they are the scum of the earth and that Dan decides to "punish" them. If you are looking for a connected story and world/character building, then this is not really the manga for you. What surprised me is that this manga has plenty of comedy. It kind of gave me whiplash, one moment a horrible crime is taking place, the next a joke is being made about Dan's horrible pottery. At the same time it provided a nice break from the depressing content.  The characters are pretty compelling, but there aren't a big cast of them that actually stay around. There isn't a consistent villain and really only one or two side characters that appear from time to time, it's just the MC Dan that reappears. A lot of the criminals that Dan targets are so evil that you start to root for Dan, even though he is a serial killer. The author does a great job at making Dan walk the thin line between a good vigilante that does what he does for justice and a brutal and crazy serial killer. Because although Dan does punish criminals, the way he tortures and kills them makes it clear that he does it to satisfy his homicidal urges more than for justice. This manga's art is clean, beautiful, and easy to read. Some of the crimes, espicially the rape was very realistic and hard to read through. The punishments dished out by Dan are very gory, creative, but gory.  Like I said in the beginning, this isn't a story that has amazing world or character building. It doesn't really have a cohesive plot. But I Love it all the same! It is so satisfying to see the criminals punished. It really is a guilty pleasure manga. At the end of the day, I would definitely recommend you give this a shot if you can handle dark themes and gore.
