Story Considering how I am not a big fan of manhwa, I was glad I gave this one a chance. I absolutely loved the concept and execution. The story follows Bom, a high school girl with a strong spirit and of curious nature. One day she meets a boy that appears so mysterious to her. The fun of this story is not only to discover the mysteries as they unravel but also to understand the deeper meaning of what each character represents. Bom, Gaeul is full of symbolism starting with its’ name. I came into this thinking I would drop this story within the first chapter and ended up finishing it in less than 1 hour. It left me itching for more even when the ending was perfect in itself. This is just a beautiful story that will inspire to see the world in a different light. I can't say more as not spoil it but I can say it's worth a read. Art I prefer manga over manhwa because the art is quite different. In this case, the use of color worked to the story’s advantage to add more symbolism to the story and highlight particularly important things. Characters I fell in love with all of the characters. There is no villain here, just a group of friends in their school days. Despite how ordinary this may sound, I actually found the characters to be quite unique as they did not act or were placed in typical situations seen in shoujo. The main characters are very intriguing and likeable. There is a lot of character growth and beautiful moments throughout the story. Overall It’s sad to see not many people have had the opportunity to read this manhwa. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a story full of insight, love and mystery. The story is relatively short so it’s a quick read and the characters are unique and intriguing.
