Blood Bank - Reviews

I’m still reading it but it’s pretty great. Especially if you like really kinky sex between gay men. Although sometimes I fell it gets a little too kinky. But besides all that the stories pretty interesting, and the characters are likeable. Overall great manga for me so far. 

The story is very interesting and it keeps you hooked plus i also love how every character develops with eachother along the way for example shell and one/eric turned into love but it started off thinking shell was werid .

The art worked i loved , it was amazing .

the characters i also loved they all had there own reasons to everything some of them i was not so fond of but overall the characters were amazing .

i would 100% recommend it has a great mix of things ..!

I've read this quite long ago memories are becoming more hazy but while I still have pieces of it in my mind imma just spill this: 

The story is top-notch tho I really dislike the racist undertones it implied (makes me quite uncomfortable tbh).

The smexy bdsm scenes are HAWT. 

One as a bridge between vampires and humans is well thought out but predictable given the hints. 

And finally the art is KILLER darl, the setting, the mood, it's everything a dystopian fanatic could ask for and MORE. Well done author-san

This Manga was genuinely awful, i dont understand how there are this many good reviews the lowest being 7. As someone who enjoys a litte bit of yaoi here and there (Im a gay guy if that changes anything), when i sit down to read what i assume is going to be a yaoi im going to expect yaoi. The opening is very typical of a yaoi (not a bad thing this is what i was looking for) horny, bdsm (sorta), and power dynamics. We are then transitioned into the plot of this manga which is about a man who works for a blood bank fucking a vampire, right? No wrong! This whole manga gets so off the fucking rails with awkward pacing, uninteresting characters, etc etc. The Main character who is a human blood bank worker named One, is by FAR the most interesting character in the entire series unfortunately for him every other character literally is so fucking boring and uninteresting ESPECIALLY the little blonde twink vampire hes fucking who is just so fucking ugly and boring that i cant even fathom what is keeping him attatched to him.Anyways this is all Typical yaoi stuff which would be fine! If they had stuck to that! However the author clearly wanted to write a different story, with much more intrigue and plot and as such im going to be rating this based on that.

The sudden switch can work in other media there are a couple other manga and anime that have really pulled off that "half way through suddenly this is a different genre" switch. But inorder to do that well you also have to have a sturdy base, by that i mean of course well written characters who id be interested enough in seeing in another genre. This manga suddenly turns into an action mystery series in a way that is unwelcome. Your expecting a yaoi with maybe a hint of underlying plot or even possibly (please please possibly) a good plot on top of the bdsm themed porn, however your given like no porn with a side of mid plot. There were alot of cool ideas that were introduced but just were unable to preform their duties letting the plot fall flat or made the pacing feel awkward. This is a 61 chapter read that feels like 50 to 70% of it could have been resolved in a tighter and smaller 30 chapters. I honestly only kept reading it just because i was baffled that it could keep going with only one interesting character (one being the key word here im talking about that banker again). The plot feels patchworked together much like it was just written all in one go, no beginning outline or rough sketch of the plot just jumping from one idea to the next and in the end losing track of all ideas. It just was not good and im someone who reads alot of manga good manga (non yaoi), good manga (Yaoi), bad manga (yaoi) and bad manga (non yaoi). And i feel like it failed on both being a yaoi and being a story, because the author couldnt decide if they wanted to write porn or a story which suprise btw you can do both there are actually a good chunk of yaoi and bl that have both good plots and good porn this just isnt one of them.

Tldr: The characters are shit and it should not have 10/10 ratings
