The pacing and panel layout of this was honestly pretty great. And even though it only serves as a teaser to one of the Bleach movies, and even though it seems intrinsically tied in with some of the events from the Hollow arc of the main story (the details of which I have long ago forgotten), I nevertheless found this to be an adequately engaging few moments. I should mention that all the characters just feel like haughty, condescending pricks; the designs for Shuren's subordinates (and everyone, to some degree) just look stupid; and the fights are shortened to the point of being essentially nonexistent. And of course, there would never be any reason to reread this. Overall, I feel like I should've disdained this a lot more than I did, but as I said, I found it adequately engaging. "I like the Boom!
