Honestly this is an ok manhwa and it doesn't deserve me taking my anger out on it but chapter 19 made me really mad so I'm going to do it anyways. I'm so sick of these oblivious cold hearted female leads! Their always so obsessed with preserving the timeliness even though they go out of their way to change things like you idiot you can't pick and choose the things you want to stay the same don't you know anything at all about time travel!?

Also look, I get that she's the author of the book so she's disconnected from the story and characters a bit but how can you live with people for over 5 years and still be such a bit*h? Cause that's really how she acts. Like why do all these manages just let the fact that the MC doesn't treat those around them like real people pass? She lives and breaths in that world but can't even show a little bit of emaphy towards the other characters even though she sees their living beings to. 😡

⭐ORIGINAL REVIEW

The premise is very interesting since the female lead reincarnates into a novel that she wrote in real life. She lives as the strongest antagonist, completely alone in the world and sent to the brutal north to serve the lord and perform as a mage.

I loved the fact that despite her being the creator of the world, she doesn't unfairly have OP powers that can control all the characters and cause a lot of damage. There's still information she's not aware of and factors she can't control, so she can only work in a way that makes sense.

The romance here is refreshing and completely expected but it doesn't detract from the quality of the plot or the uniqueness of the world. I feel like that Chapters 1 - 21 is mostly for building the stage where the characters will shine; they have yet to get to the meaty part of the story.

Should you read this? Definitely!! It's fun and interesting, focusing mostly on the FL rather than the family relationships or the romance thus far.

Reviewed at Chapter 21.

⭐UPDATED REVIEW

Still as good as I remember it to be - I really enjoy the world building and the quest for revenge of the FL. Her slowly aggregating her power and becoming the inevitable harem magnet that she deserves to become, despite her oblivious self, is the plot I love to see!

In the later chapters, we get to see the world she created evolve to fit the other main characters of the novel. They're all attractive and capable, terrifyingly aware of their own powers in the greater scheme of things. I love that they all seem to have their own agency and aren't just a trope for the sake of providing her with a backdrop. My personal favorite is the red haired woman (I'm being purposely vague here to avoid spoilers). She seems quite complex and has a very interesting role to play in the coming chapters.

I love the art so so so much!! The art has evolved to show such beauty and it's a treat to read each chapter and be blessed with something that should be framed somewhere. At best, I could only take a screenshot and make it the background of my phone so I can adore it everyday. Bumped up my art rating from 8.5 to 9.5 because of the newest chapters. I'm rambling (oops) but in short: the art is immaculate. Mwah.

The relationship between the ML and the FL is slowly developing as well! I loved to see how much he adores her and how hard he works to be able to be of service to her as she pushes the limits of what she can do and where she can go. I personally dislike MLs that tend to overshadow the FL, especially if they're achieving multiple things or are doing things integral to the plot, but this manhwa shows that they can both be cool without having to adjust for each other. And that's perfect.

Excited to see more from Season 2!!

Okay I may only be at chapter 16 but i can tell this is really sweet and thoughtful story. Idk how i feel about Fiona becoming the MLs wife, but their reltionship is so sweet. The fact they dont forget that she doesnt have a childs mentality tho she plays the part marvoulously also the duke of the the north is........ mega sexy daddy material love him. She is so cute and tries so hard to take care of her tragic characters out of love. A very good author excited for more.

Yo the ART??? Is freaking gorgeous. Honest to god, I really really love it so props and big thanks to the artist(s).

The story is quite enjoyable. I like that it doesn't go at the pace of a snail with meaningless little "conflicts" for the FL to deal with. I hate those types of manhwa. If the conflict does not bring character growth, relationship change, or even a change in the dynamics of the fictional world then I consider it pointless blank filler and I've dropped a whole lot of manga's because of this. This one does not do that. The author actually uses a time skip to avoid pointless things in between so I applaud them for doing so.

The FL is quite the badass and cold-hearted villain. Like father like daughter I suppose XDDD The ML is equally charming and capable so they would make quite the pair. Despite Abel's cold demeanor, I think he raised these kids quite well.

[BEWARE OF SLIGHT SPOILERS]

I see someone saying about how the FL is so clueless and honestly? I sort of disagree. The ML has always just been an "older brother" sort of figure to her so I can see how his back hug and somewhat shy behaviour goes over her head. They also spend some time apart in their 20s so a little shyness is to be expected. AND. I've seen worse. Much much worse. The ML will straight up confess and the FL will be like "ah you must be confused." but at the same time, she'll have feelings for him??? Now THAT would be stupid lmao. Fiona here doesn't have any romantic feelings for him (yet).

Anyway, I recommend this one for the galls that like cool leads and gorgeous characters.

I had expectations for this in the beggining, but it just left a sour taste in my mouth. Because of the character dynamics, traits, and almost forced plot, I couldn't get attached to anyone.

Of course, everything I'm saying is of someone who neither read the novel, finished the manhwa, or took any time to really closely examine the characters. This was just the impression I had of it after spending 3-4 hours straight reading this. We all have different tastes and preferences, so maybe it's just me.

OR!!!! Maybe others have noticed the littles things I disliked about it. So little that I can't even quite explain it with words (thats called nuances, dummy.) Well anyway, these were some of the big things that made me want to arbitrarily type a reveiw (I no joke just looked up what that meant just so that I could correctly use it) against my better jugement and sleepiness.

The FL felt too wishy-washy and oblivious to ML's pursuits. So many characters are chasing her down (literally and figuratively) and seeing her want to not get involved but still ends up doing so didn't sit well with me. And another thing!! The ML!! He's just so..so..so frustrating!!!! He basically only has one goal before he met FL: Survive. Then, he caught feelings and all he did was so that he'd have a chance with FL!!                                        Or maybe I read his motivations wrong. 😑  Nah. He's also hopelessly jealous, obsessive, and in love. His bigs traits are: Handsome, strong, likes FL, and has daddy issues. While none of that was exactly a deal-breaker to other manhwa I read (and boy have I seen worse), I just felt Fiona and Siegren weren't compatible.

Warning, this is not what actually happens in the manhwa (to my knowledge at least). To be honest, I was sorta hoping there'd be this interesting twist where the FL leaves, does a bunch of stuff on her own (finally) and falls for a good looking (and nice) NORMAL human (probably male, but I'm not picky). Then Siegren becomes prince and tracks her down and throws a fit when he sees her with new love interest. He finally shows how terrribly obsessed he is and attacks my made up ML and that causes the FL and ML's previous friendship to turn strained. From there, the Siegren turns into the crazy villain who wants the FL all to himself. He does everything within his power to kill my created ML and FL does everything she can to keep him away from them. I'd have liked a scene where when he expressed his feelings, she would firmly reject him.

Oh look, I just set up a basic plot that I've never seen executed well. It may not be original, but at least the FL could be independent and find someone on her own. And make friends other than ML.

Oh, and the pacing was....not great.
