Yokoi Taku has trouble getting along with people, so he moved to Tokyo as soon as he graduated from high school. He now lives alone, making a living by delivering newspapers and drawing doujinshi, though people totally ignore his non-erotic works. One day, a girl named Saitou Megumi suddenly shows up at his door, claiming that she came all the way from Tottori to meet him because she's a big fan of one of his doujinshi. It ends up that she has faced many hardships herself, and with no intention of leaving, she ends up living with him.
Asper Kanojo somehow has this effect on me that makes me feel very strongly whenever I read it, whether it be the pain or joy of the characters. I can't be entirely relied on to say whether or not it is realistic, but I do sense familiarity with this manga, having siblings with the same conditions. Seeing the dependency and love the characters have for each other is really heartwarming. Although this story can also be painful at times, this manga makes my day seeing how happy they make each other. Overall, this is a very heartwarming yet painfully relatable story that has made me feel very strong emotions. There are many dark and possibly triggering topics but I would definitely recommend!
