Oscar Orcus is considered a third-rate Synergist by most people. He spends his days peacefully, working so he can send money back to an orphanage. All that changes when the whirlwind that is Miledi Reisen storms into his life. Miledi sees the hidden potential in Oscar, and invites him on her journey to defeat the gods. Oscar wants no part of any journey, and he refuses. But Miledi is persistent, and the situation changes drastically when the orphanage he wants to protect is attacked. In the end, what will our unlikely hero decide?

It's pretty much what you would expect from a prequel of Arifureta. The first volume is really good and i couldn't stop reading it but afterwards there are a lot of detours in the story (e.g. when Oscar has to protect his anal virginity or Meiru being a real dick) sapped my motivation to continue. The story would be much better in a condensed version after volume 1 without this forced extended "comedy" acts. In volume 1 and the main story (except volume 1) is the pace much faster.
Have yet to read the original, though reviews say it bombs in the end. This LN has started out great though looking at the characters listed in the original, sofar onli Miledi is one that reacures here. I like these & I don't see how it has anything to do with an RPG world that supposedly is where the 1st series rakes place. These are just people livibg it a different world tgat has a sun & only 1 moon mentioned but named other than Earth where many have magic with circkes but few have magic direcly from there hands. They fight against the church of sone screwy god & his really screwy bishops & there Templers? Seams like 16th c. Papist but for the name of their god & that the real Templers were wiped out 200-300 years before those Portuguese/Spanish Inquisitions.
There are no custom lists yet for this series.
