"Archmage Transcending Through Regression" is absolute dogshit. When a story is based on magic I expect a good system. Not soft magic employing every cliche in the book. Magic is supposed to be like a beautifully woven tapestry, not tapped-on garbage, don't introduce new rules as you see fit. Instead, establish basic principles with flaws our characters need to master and work around. Storywise don't expect originality because there's none. "Archmage Transcending Through Regression", is sludge at its most disgusting. A story solely riding on current trends, it's tedious. And its writing is amateurish, though I must say about this point I did read an unofficial translation. Nonetheless, the fundamentals remain. If you can turn your brain off you'll be able to find some enjoyment, probably.

another cliche story. And even bad one. Mc was bad in magic, weak intellectually during the age of 25. Then how did he became so talented suddenly, to become a great mage later? Why was he so stupid earlier? I dislike such cliche wish fulfillment stories. Oh, and author very conveniently put blame for everything on the warrior/hero in previous timeline. Weren't the other guys stupid too then, for giving the warrior so many opportunities and working with him??

Quirky, funny and exciting. Really enjoyed it. The MC is intelliegent and on the point. No bullshit. The story is pretty good and is really interesting Enjoyment : 9/10 reviewed at chapter 80 on 09.01.2024
