In general it wasn't bad. The fact children remove bad memories replacing them with good ones is a real defense mechanism when they have abusive parents, the love theme is good and I cheered when the mother died. But I can't say anything more. I swear I'm a fan of the theme "mankind is rotten and you find love in dangerous non-human creatures", and I don't dislike tragic endings, but this was very rushed. I know that the personal drama of the girl is the main plot so we don't get any lore, but at least I want to understand why the creature is what it is, why the girl never tought "well let's find my only friend a new dress to wear", why we get no lore but a close-up of the creature's giant anus, and why it got such breasts able to move and destroy buildings and I don't. I know it was supposed to look inhuman, but it was a weird detail in the middle of such tragic events. Got me out of my immersion.
