The reason I left this novel was that there were very few episodes left. It's a great novel. The main character is also very good. Even though there is a bit of "making love", they are also the taste and salt of this novel. I suggest you read it.
I have probably never felt so frustrated from a story so much. My mind has been a mess even 1 day after reading the 15th volume of novel. i have decided to drop it.
While the initial 600 chapters were ok, 7/10. But after that, characters start making stupid decisions one after another. I think the author had gotten senile, trying to add more drama. Everyone who read the story knows, which part we readers hate the most. Its the part where mc forgives a bunch of star gods, and later on loses everything as these star gods sneak attack him and jasmine in the worst moment. Like why, why do mc has to forgive such mortal enemies. And that's not all. After that, xia qingque, who was mc's wife, and one of fan favorites, decides to go after mc, and kill the entire planet of mc and her, along with all their families, mc's harem etc... Like seriously?? xia qingque becoming like that, the author thinks fan's hearts won't crash after that??
The characters had already started making stupid decisions much before that final planet nuke thing... When jasmine decided to use her powers on mc's planet, bcz of which jasmine got discovered. Like seriously?? Didn't jasmine knew the consequences of using her powers? Did she really needed to go alone in those regions? Couldn't she have brought mc and demon queen?? And mc didn't kill sword sect earlier, when jasmine was revealed.. Like seriously, wtf.. That mistake stretched the story by 100 chaps. And mc didn't learnt anything from this, and forgives the star gods later on, which leads to demise of jasmine, and mc branded as devil...
this is the main problem with story. mc never learns. He cannot just sit around waiting to improve his powers, no he will jump into danger. And then forgives enemy, gets back-stabbed, gets his all family and loved ones killed, get mad then.. The author just wants to create edgy story...
Seriously don't read this novel/manhwa, its stupid. Or stop the novel after jasmine gets revealed on the planet in front of all.
A reincarnated protagonist starts out weak and then gets overpowered. What I like is that he doesn't flaunt his powers over others. He's ruthless to his enemies, (ruthless that borders on cruelty), but shows love and compassion for his loved ones and friends. Also willing to go far to help those that deserve justice. His power is very interesting and sets him apart from other protagonists. He literally has the power of a god from the start while other MCs have to cultivate themselves to become one.
Edit: It gets rough. REALLY rough. And tragic. So only those who aren't soft-hearted can finish this novel. But this was too hard for me which is why I dropped it. If you love fantasy/tragedy, this is for you.
I don't often drop stories, and I absolutely love cultivation stories, but this one is written somewhat poorly, especially once reaching celestial phases. At times, characters can feel quite fleshed out like living beings. However, certain characters words and actions throughout the story divert, and can leave the reader feeling unfulfilled. The story itself was quite good for the first 500+ chapters at least, but some characters fall off the deep end around the later chapters, and the initial tone of the story serverly changes. Sometimes throwing in "dramatic" or "unexpected" changes really doesn't help a story, and only hurts the previously developed characters.
