The scene change from when the snazzy guy first comes on to the bartender to when feir advances have become more physical felt abrupt. In fact, several of the plot progressions felt like they came out of nowhere. That's my main hang-up with this story: I feel that if the pacing had been slowed down and the characters had been given more time to be developed, it could've been pretty good. Though honestly, the premise of a single parent being hesitant to enter into a relationship because fe has to consider feir child could be told in a much more interesting way. And it's a bit odd how the child is allowed to roam freely in the bar (though I realize the bar is connected to their house).

It is pretty rare that a BL manga isn't all about 2 dudes shoving their tongues down each others throats and thrusting heavily into each other. But I suppose we have a young girl to thank for that because as the title suggests, it must come after the little one is not awake. There is one scene where the 2 men after trading their stories come to heavily make out but that is it. This manga is more about learning about 2 men and their backstories and how they came to be together in the end. Divorce is an interesting thing in this short manga and brings a good question into play. Should 2 people stay together even though they hate each other because of a child they have together? There is also a nice change in this BL manga about a young man chasing an older man. Maybe I just haven't been looking in the right places for that but I always find it refreshing when a story isn't just about 2 young bucks looking for love. For such a short manga it does sadly leave you wanting more but the little that was presented was very satisfying and will leave you wondering about beard appeal perhaps!
