Reasons you might like Taisho Otome Otogibanashi...

Both series feature a guy being pulled out of depression by a caring girl and there is also promise of marriage involved. Both also feature traditional japanese elements, such as clothing, housing, cooking and such. Taisho Otome Otogibanashi has a historical setting, on the other hand Aekanaru takes place in moder times, but has supernatural elements. You'll probably like one if you liked the other, but keep in mind that Aekanaru has some lolicon vibes.
