This booklet is a small gift from Yoshitoki Ōima to all the fans of "A Silent Voice".
It is a short story focusing on the NISHIMIYA family, in particulare about the relationship between Shouko's mother and grandmother.
The story is nice and sheds a more bit of light on the harsh character of Yaeko.
It doesn't add anything on the main story, but is really welcomed. It would be very good to have others in the future.
Harigato Yoshitoki sensei!
A oneshot focusing on quite possibly the most interesting character from A Silent Voice--Nishimiya's mother. We are shown the thought process behind feir strict and cold demeanor, and how it ultimately comes from a place of caring for feir child. I enjoyed seeing the realization fe comes to at the end, after eating the cake fe had baked femself. Obviously, this story works best if read in conjunction with the main series, but it's self-contained enough that I could see someone enjoying it without having read anything else.
