A Man and His Cat - Reviews

If you want a feel good story and cry in happiness for the characters, this is definitely something you will love. 

Fukumaru and Mr. Kanda establish such a lovely relationship with each other--finding companion on each other as well as love for each other--that you can't help but feel so happy for them and tear up here and there. You are taken into both Fukumaru's and Mr. Kanda's point of views seperately throughout the story, in which it doesn't leave you wondering what were the other's thoughts or feelings. 

All in all, this is full of happy and sad feels, the story has a good pace and this will make you chuckle, making you want for more.

The sweetest manga I've never seen. Every volume I read makes me want to go give my 2 precious pet cats a hug. It's so emotional and sweet and adorable and I hope for an anime adaptation, but I don't know if I'll be able to watch it with how sad the story is lol. But all in all, this manga is perfect for the cat lovers everywhere. 

This is one of, if not the, sweetest and most heartfelt stories I've ever read. All of the characters are believable and lovable, and the relationships between them feel genuine and really pull you into the story. It's not super long-winded or overly dramatic. The whole thing is told mostly through a mixture of short vignettes with a longer, more plot driven exerpt in the middle. 

Even though it never gets bogged down with being overly dramatic or angsty, the story telling is so heartfelt you want to cry anyway. The gentle story of a man and his cat healing eachother and overcoming loneliness and past trauma is both adorable in its silly moments and artfully heartbreaking in it's subtle sadness. It's also incredibly relatable to anyone who has ever owned a cat.

Truly the only reason I can think not to read this masterpiece is that you hate cats, and really, if that's the case then why are you even here?
