Minamoto-kun Monogatari

Minamoto-kun Monogatari

Minamoto-kun has a face pretty enough to make people think he's a girl. Because of his face, he was bullied by the girls in middle school who were jealous of his face. He developed a fear of women due to the trauma and he ended up attending a high school for boys. Just as he enters college and makes a promise to himself to overcome the trauma of his past, his father remarries and asks him to move out of the house. His father arranges him to live with his aunt (Minamoto-kun's father's younger sister) for the time being. She is an extremely beautiful woman who is also a non-tenured professor at his college. When he arrives at her apartment, she shows him her breasts and tells him that he will be her "guinea pig" in her reverse Hikari Genji project.

If you enjoyed Hachi Ichi or Minamoto-kun Monogatari, give a chance to the second title as well! Both share the common theme of a male protagonist with no experience suddenly forced to share a relationship with multiply girls. Both manga have a lot of sex scenes and a strong gallery of female characters with differing personality.

If you liked 8♀1♂ you should definitely like Minamoto-kun Monogatari, where the male lead suffers from gynophobia and his aunt "cures" him by forcing him get into a relationship with a large number of women (I want to do this kind of therapy too) so she can write her Genji Monogatari book (isn't it enough to convince you?).

Both series are awfully similar. In both the male lead is poor despite the fact that he comes from a wealthy family. Nonetheless the possibility of him inheriting the wealth seems to be high. Now a harem of would-be fiancées shows up and declares that in a time of year or two he is to pick one of them as his wife. They have it even written down on paper with rules and such (one of them being that should he not pick any of them during that time, they would go away and never show up again or something along the lines). The main difference between those two series is the male lead. In Hachi Ichi he is a hopeless idiot, but in Iinazuke Kyoutei he is a calm and quite resonable youth. Another difference would be the fact that the girls in Hachi Ichi seem to be after the guy just for the money, but in Iinazuke Kyoutei they haven't made it clear if they actually like him or have an ulterior motive (at least not yet). Due to the countless similarities, you probably can't go wrong with one if you liked the other.

In both series the male lead is an offspring of some poor branch of a rich family. In order to become the successor of the company he is made to cohabitate with girls (manga logic). The girls constantly try to seduce him, because if he lays his hand on one he will be forced to marry her. The purpose of all that is quite simple: MONEY.

As you can see similar themes are present in both series, so you might want to try one if you liked the other. Just bear in mind that 8♀1♂ ventures into the world of borderline H and that the girl count doesn't seem to go far beyond 1 in Hatoko-san to Rabukome.

The male lead in 8♀1♂ has to "deal" with 8 women and choose one. The male lead in Hare Kon. is going for the safe route and has 3-4 wives. If you enjoyed one manga, you're going to enjoy the other one as well.

If you liked 8♀1♂, you should like How to Build a Dungeon: Book of the Demon King cause you're going to witness a mage going berserk trying to establish his "kingdom" by forcing all sorts of girls of different fantasy races (succubus, elf, human and so on) to have sex with him. Oh, I forgot to tell this manga is a tad violent, don't expect slice of life, expect something else *wink wink*. They're both really explicit, so if you like this type of content, I guarantee you'll be "satisfied".
