A man who loves all things locomotive has a conversation with a train...
After some contemplation, I think the core of this manga is that a guy has a crush on a train conductor but is too shy to tell fem how fe feels. Or, fe might be in love with a train...It doesn't have a clear story and it also doesn't evoke any emotions in its non-story (other than maybe confusion). It can best be compared to a poem that just doesn't resonate with me, but perhaps it will resonate with someone else. Who knows.
I mean, there really isn't a heck of a lot to say about this one: basically a guy is pining over some other guy (not named) and, um, he likes trains. That's it; that's the story. I saw that little "fin" in the corner of page 6 or so and kind of went, "Whaaaaat? But nothing happened?!" I swear, the mangaka was way behind on her deadline or something and just submitted the thing. But, you know, it's not a bad start. I did in actuality want to read more. It has a gloomy, kind of hopeless atmosphere with some monologues that resonate with a lonely miserablist such as myself: "But if you ride trains too long you'll end up like me ... endlessly waiting for all kinds of things." Yeah, I like lines like that. The artwork is pretty good and it has a conventional boy A likes boy B, boy B doesn't know, will boy A ever confess to boy B? premise. The story's premise simply never materializes into an actual plot. It has a seriously unfinished feel to it and you get the suspician that the word "fin" was added by the editor after the manga was dropped or something.
