I dropped the story at ch 13. For me, it lacked sweetness and benevolence. I'm all for kink, but forcing a 3some with a childhood friend on an uke isn't my kind of fun.

Spoilers Ahead: There's a very fine line between BDSM and violence, when you blur the lines between the absolute fundamentals of BDSM with powerplay, dubcon, and even play with low-key rapey themes, if done well can be compelling.  However this was not that manhwa, we steamrolled over to rape land real quick. The characters have really compelling backstories - two neighbours who, through unfortunate circumstances develop a one sided codependency issue where the younger child escapes his abusive father and the older child, who takes him in with his (single?) (Christian?) mother. Overtime the younger boy develops feelings for the older where the older feels as if he is bogged down by the responsibility of caring for a child that isn't his. The older child eventually explores his sexuality as being a gay man then is eventually outed when he decides to trick the younger boy into almost dying by the hands of his abusive father while he gets dicked down by his boyfriend at the time. This had so much compelling elements that could explore themes of how powerplay and BDSM coalesces with domestic violence, guilt, and shame.  On one hand you have the older boy who becomes a broken man, a submissive with no safewords seemingly stemming from his guilt and shame after being outed (the fact that his mother is no longer in the story makes me feel like some juicy shit went down); the younger boy becomes obsessed with not only killing his father but fucking his neighbour for some reason? And ultimately the story went downhill from there. They had sex like once and then they fell in love with each other, all the tension is gone - and the BDSM partner of the main character turns out to become this sexual deviant at the very end in the side story?? Like way to do a 180. Overall, this could've easily been a 200+ chapter story, slowburn and made me hurt in all the right ways, the set up was amzing but it flopped.
