With a history of leading a motorcycle gang and getting bad grades in school, why would 22 year old Onizuka ever want to become a teacher? Is it to educate young minds or spread the joy of education? Sure, if it involves being able to look up high school girls' skirts! Watch as this would-be educator uses his own life lessons and unconstituted methods as a means to control a delinquent class of students -- students who certainly aren't as happy to have him as a teacher as he is happy to be teaching...

Both series are about a male teacher getting harassed by his students at an all-girls' school. The girls in both are agressive and bitchy (although slightly nicer in Black Gakkou), and their pranks are of a sexual nature.

The main difference is the personality between the teachers. In Black Gakkou, the teacher is trying his hardest (heh) not  to give in to his students' wishes of sex (for, you know, multiple reasons), although he is interested despite his initial denial. In 1-nen A-gumi, the teacher does not react to his students' advances at all, and doesn't want anything to do with them outside of their grades.

Also, Black Gakkou is much more lewd, whereas 1-nen A-gumi is a pretty dark story underneath all the teacher abuse.

Nevertheless, if you enjoy assertive, bossy high school girls tormenting their extremely average male teacher, it might be worth looking into whichever one of these you haven't read yet.

Hwajin Na’s teaching techniques are pretty violent for someone who works in the Ministry of Education. That being said, when punishments don't seem to work on even the worst of school bullies, there is no better man for the job. Sometimes you can’t get a good education until those bullies are taught a lesson.
