Teito Klein is a former slave who attends the Barsburg Empire's military academy. Having no memory of his past and the power to wield a rare ability called Zaiphon, Teito is constantly under the scrutiny of his peers - except for his best friend Mikage, the only person he connects with. After seeing and remembering the man who killed his father, Teito tries to kill him and finds himself on the run from Barsburg's military might. Now, with the evil beings known as Kor after his soul, the Barsburg Empire after his blood and only the legendary Seven Ghosts to protect him, Teito must unlock the memories of his past before he ends up as a sacrifice for Verloren, the sealed God of Death.
Amazing! A really great read! Orginal story, subtle plot twists, and great character believability. I truely enjoyed every page, and I expect to continue so until the very end!
The 07-Ghost manga series is amazing. It always leaves you wanting to know what happens next. I couldn't put it down. It is beautifully drawn and features memorable charactors that soon become favourites. Also the story is really interesting and what happens to the charactors can make you cry such as with Teito and Mikage. One thing I found annoying was that the volumes are fairly small yet still cost the same as normal books with more content, although I find this with most mangas. Besides this I can't floor it. I decided to read the manga after watching the anime that was left unfinished without season 2 to explain about Pandora's box, and the past of the Raggs kingdom. When I started reading the manga and read to volume 5 I could just pick up where I left off and find out what was left unexpained. I would recommend to those who watched the anime to do this if you want to find out how it concludes as season 2 of the anime is unlikely. I hope you enjoy reading it.
0-7 Ghost was an amazing read, and I don't think there will ever be quite another story like it. I finished the whole series in a week, and emotions those little books caused... Man I was in a funk for weeks. But it's a beautiful story about the meaning of death and defining the purpose of life(a topic we can never define because it's so personal for each person). It came to me in a very hard part of my life, as I myself was struggling with loss and it really helped me work through those feelings. Long story short, it's an amazing read, I can't recommend it enough.
