I can't say I'm a big fan of the OP tho, it sucks.
Yeah, he's pretty cliche here . And they made him a freaking infant here lol . He winds up being a really great character. though. This first episode didn't set the stage for me like the source material did. I felt like there were random scenes to summarize events but no real context to understand where he's coming from, which was disappointing. I hope they don't adapt the whole thing that wayI'm not familiar with Tower of God but so far my biggest worry is the MC (honestly, that's usually my biggest worry in a series - good or bad MC makes or breaks things). Honestly, he hasn't struck me as all that great so far but I can see some potential directions for him to be developed. I hope he is filled out
+1 to that.I can't say I'm a big fan of the OP tho, it sucks.
All I got out of that was "generic K-pop boy band," which is pretty much what I was thinking it sounded like... so immediately not my cup of tea. It's standard K-Pop stuff, so it's really not meant to be anything better than generic. For anyone unfamiliar, Stray Kids is a new-ish boy band from the same entertainment agency that gave us Twice. So that's how mainstream the group is.
Episode 1:
Hmmmm... Not sure what to think here. I'm a little on the fence... there's definitely potential, but it does feel a little generic in places, and... idk, it's not that it lacks exposition, because it is there in subtle ways that are decidedly better than info-dumping, but... something about it just didn't impact.
