I thought this was one of them titty ecchi shit animes, instead it's like Sherlock Holmes or some shit. But it's a shit I can get behind.

Hmmm this might or might not do well. Already seen a fair amount of detective anime that flopped.

Interesting, there was a live action with a similar title, but it was a lady detective who had all the money.

If he has an unlimited balance, wouldn't that make him more than a millionaire?

First episode was interesting enough for me to want to watch the next. Sure, rich (and a word I can't remember) aren't something new and original, but there was something with this that intrigued me with the style.

    01:

Daisuke is such a huge FUCKING ASSHOLE and childish sociopath rather than coming off as remotely suave or sophisticated. Man, is he unlikable. Endangering people's lives, almost sending two people to their explosive death and letting the other scrappy detective fall off a bridge. I get him not having a modicum of common sense by bashing into other people's cars was probably supposed to be funny and intentional but I just find this guy insufferable. If this show ends up merely glomping up his assholerly and playing it as cool constantly without consequence, that will really piss me off. This feels like a mix of detective procedural and James bond spy thriller. I thought some of the side characters were kind of fun and Haru is obviously the straight laced cop to balance him out hur hur.....but whether that remains to be seen as compelling partnership for me is a big question mark and if this is really a journey for the asshole to be a better human being. I hope this ends up as some kind of satire of taking the piss out of the rich.

I can't say I can really recommend this at the moment, mainly cause I hate Mr. Fat stacks of cash/wannabe Bruce Wayne so much right now. Which is a shame, because the OST, character designs and animation are great to me and there's some sense of style out of it.

    Episode 1:

Well fuck, not only do we get the best OP and ED of the season, but we get a goddamn fun parody boot. Move over moody rich protagonists, we now have Detective Asshole to show you what being a true sociopath is. Detective Douchebag is fucking lit. He's got the sexiest voice ever. He's got a goddamn good design. He's also a complete fucking monster. I am digging it.

The show is dumb, but it reminds me of the more freewheeling episodes of Lupin where there are few good guys and it's more about rooting for the cool stylish characters to do their thing. I got huge laughs out of Detective Dickhead just wrecking the prince's fleet of cars and then paying him a billion yen just because it was the most convenient option for him.

The animation wasn't great, but that was mostly for the shitty CG in the car chases. The art style is great.

    Loved it.

I have to admit that Agent 00asshole is like the perfect reflection of my frustrations with working life. Just cut through all the goddamn red tape and get shit down. Leave everyone that can't keep up in the dust. He's a sociopath and an awful person, but I sure do see the allure of the impulse. Also, that smirk is goddamn sexy when he knows he's being a complete sociopath.

    Episode 1

Mr. Asshat got me in stitches. What a fucking shit eating grin that complete piece of garbage has. The bridge scene near killed me from all the what the fuck.

It's almost shameful how many times I broke out into laughter in disbelief over whatever the heck was happening on screen. I supposed this is what happens when James Bond goes not so secret. Yeah, I had a great time. =D

But, my girl, don't go forgiving your useless man. He's trash. Man, did he made me mad.

I adore OP and ED, though. So so good.

wow, Daisuke is a bigger asshole than i thought he'd be even after reading all these comments. really the epitome of 'I can buy people off and I am god'. All things considered, the way it's presented I am at least hopeful they're going somewhere interesting with that. it really does make you feel for haru, haha

My favourite surprise of the episode was that "Sacchan" was a kind of older woman. I love those older ladies so much.

I noticed there's an older dude listed in the (likely) secondary cast, so I hope to see some old men and older ladies both.

also they kind of just let the criminals leave at the end? what?

I wonder if dumbo Bonnie and Clyde are going to be recurring characters.

I'm guessing that guy was fapping to gilf porn on his computer, what a classy man.

Twenty minutes of "screw the rules, I have money." I kind of hope he gets deprived of his wealth at some point. Haru will have to teach him about actual detective work.

Designwise Dick Seto Kaiba kind of makes me want to watch The Big O again. Those retro looking black suits are boss.
