Episode 9

As fun as we have it with death flags and crazed girls this episode wasn't bad. Extremely obvious in true muv-luv style but not quite bad. The worst thing however is that fights are blatantly skipped over and some scenes just aren't quite as impactful as they'd have liked meaning that they just feel like a way to avoid animating a fight as much as possible.

I'd advise against that. I'm regretting still watching it. I'm only hanging on for the slim hope that they remember the fucking BETA exist.

That was some heavy shit. Yes, it was a bit dragged out, but still, for an anime, very dramatic. Had this been a TV drama with real actors, it would have worked out much better. That being said......

Really? It doesn't focus on BETA so it's an instant 1? That's childish. I can't find anything that states this anime will only be about fighting BETA and any will never steer towards anything else. From the start you could tell this would be more than just an anime about fighting monsters. I like the political side of it. It's one of those "who is the real monster" type shows.

Honestly, this franchise kind of takes the emotional involvement away with the way it goes. As you go in it expecting it to happen it just becomes meaningless.

Literally killing of all pilots except the main couple and 1 single side character really didn't add anything in the end. The delivery was very dry.

Overall a very average anime.

god i hate it "good people are good and they kill bad men" this is what it is. i expected some solid mindgames and plot twists but what i got was 6 hours of the bad people getting beat up. at least they took a few casualityes while doing so. i hate the characters.

also can you like get rid of the psycho little sister loves her brother and does unreasonable and extremely stupid things to gain is affection that any normal person can foresee that they'll 100% end up doing the exact opposite and then she'll end up confused about it trope?

I'm just in EP1. This could've been great, but as a German I'm very confused about Eastern Germany being very religious while also still being kinda socialist and having the STASI?! Also, using English phrases like "Okay" in German, which West Germans do but East Germans did not before reunification! They are also way too emotional.
