staff 1: I heard that food porn is popular these days. It's mature, relaxing, and easy.
staff 2: Yeah, why don't we make one ourselves? But it has to be unique.
staff 3: We could use handsome guys as the selling point, not pretty girls, and attract ladies instead.
staff 4: Good idea, but I think we need something more. What do you think, director?
Director:(slowly) Mm. We will use the food porn and handsome guy ideas as side flavors. The main focus will be an episodic slice of life.

    holy sht, u genius, boy!

Animation, soundtrack, character design, everything was good.
Could be the next Yuru Camp kinda, relaxing anime this season.
Thankfully, food descriptions were minimal, there were no awkward romantic parts, and there were some comedy spots.
    kind of hyped

I find this anime relaxing to watch from the get go.

I want to see if it will go into depth a bit more about the workers roles, will the cafe change with time (even ) and what's the story behind that customer that keeps coming back...

    ^ This.

I love it, I miss my laid back shows from last season so I'm happy this is here for spring.

That rabbit latte art was straight out of a nightmare lol

    Episode 2:
It's more of the same. You see a bit into the backstory of glasses-san, the intense grandpa is intense and the shy girl got less on my nerves at the end of the episode when she suddenly was not shy anymore. Because magically she had character development.
Also the "twist" that she was part of that new tea vendor was mucho predictable.

But overall it achieved what it wanted: It's a feelgood story and I felt good, so mission accomplished.

    Episode 2.
For someone with such a relaxing job, that old man sure is a cranky S.O.B.

I insist in you calling him megane-san instead.

It requires attention to detail, which usually mean you are eh more sentimental than others And he's old.

But that old man called him megane-san and I didn't want to use something canon as nickname. (Or some other generic excuse why I didn't do the obvious.)

That would make more sense if the old man would still address him as the master of the tea house. My short term memory isn't the greatest, so I most probably misremembered and you're right.

Not enough people on the forum is watching this show.
    This is so relaxing.
I mean people could do with a dab of ikemen anime in their life.
kyou's background introduction, i fear, might kind throw off this rhythm though. It seems too serious for how this show has been going so far.

    Episode 4:
    That's so damn fluffy.
The first story was a bit cringy with the cravings for the tempura bowl. It went hyperbole in the wrong direction directly down a cliff.
The second story with the kitten was fucking adorable though. More of that.

I'm not sure what to think of the exaggerated reactions of the cast this time. Also that moaning when he was photographing the cat. Damn pervert.

    Episode 5:
Still relaxing and cute but the second part of this episode was hot garbage and I hate it.
I love that awkward old man who is too self-conscious to go alone into a trendy café. He's precious.

But also wtf was that second part? That was like a fever dream completely out of place and so fucking boring I still consider dropping the whole series because of that 5 minutes. I regret my life.
