I'd like to be able to filter anime search results by their first season in aired order (and potentially in chronological order).
When looking for new anime to watch, I look for all anime and sort by rating. I filter a few tags and those I've marked. So far I've stalled the first Gintama season, and the first page of my search lists many Gintama seasons, so I usually end up quickly moving on to page 2.
As it stands, I might have to start marking such anime as "Won't Watch" until I'm ready to unmark them again.
I prefer to judge anime by their first season, but there's certainly worth in seeing their popularity in other seasons as I browse through the pages until I stumble with the first season. Perhaps it'd be worth it to have a search by franchise, or add the franchise rating average to the anime's pages/search result.
