Request an already-in-use username

Awhile ago we launched a way for you to change your own username. But what if the username you want is already taken?

Types of accounts we can remove

The types of accounts we're willing to remove is very limited. Specifically, 'blank' (or close to blank) accounts. Such as only a small handful of list items, no avatar, no bio, and hasn't been back to the site in years. If an account registered, and last visited the same day (or within a few days) and also has a mostly blank account, these are prime candidates.

Even if someone hasn't logged into the site in years, if they have a full-looking profile, we do not remove these accounts. People return to the site all the time, and we'd like their account to be here waiting for them.


I've spotted an account whose username I'd like, and it fits the above criteria. What now?

• Go to your edit profile page and ensure that it's possible to change your username. If you've changed your name recently, we can't override that for you, so you'll have to wait out the timer before we can give you that username.

• Post here with a link to your account, and a link to their account. Confirm that you've checked your username change timer and their account, and that it meets the above criteria.

• Wait patiently. It might take a little while for your name to be updated. You'll receive a reply in this thread once it's done.

@Teax please re-make the request in a few months if you continue to be active on A-P - your account is quite new and only a bit of activity when you first joined, and we typically don't remove other accts for new users :)

Hallo ya'll got a request for ya. I recently had the idea to search up my name in the database and found out that the guy who has my original name was me! It seems I made an old account 10 years ago that I am only now vaguely remembering making lol.

I'd like to change my name from Bloodlord739 to just Bloodlord (like that with the B capital and the l lowercase).
