[QUESTION] - likes on forum posts

For the past couple of months, I've not bee able to give likes to friends and others on their profile page posts. All I am able to do is leave a comment.
I would like to give them some well-deserved likes if possible but that feature does not show up. Only a comment link. What I'm I doing wrong? Help?
