WTF Usopp? His whole shtick of being a coward and running away from the enemy when he's really needed only to have a change of heart due to the same ol' honour bs and being reminded of nakama power is ramped up to insane degrees here and it's getting SO OLD.

He's one of my favourite straw hats because of his character arc and the fact that most of us would be Usopp on that ship lol. He's looking really bad here though and with getting stronger and more confident after the timeskip it feels like more than a few steps back for him. Can I have a "shooting down the flag" moment from him again please?

I enjoy Dressrosa btw but it reminds me of Alabasta a lot. Its pacing issues for me are mainly noticeable in how they cut away from a subplot for multiple episodes and then go back to it so you're like "uh yeah, I guess that was also happening".

Love Doflamingo's VA btw, what a fucking pimp.

The Doflamingo fight was pretty cool overall, especially learning about Gear 4 and awakened devil fruits. I didn't even really mind the prolonged King Kong Gun vs. God Thread at the end because Luffy was so exhausted by that point I can buy into him not being able to use KKG with full force despite knowing it's just Toei being Toei. Obliterating Dofi's attack instantly sure would've been pretty boss though.

Man, them meeting Raizo had me in stitches. I especially loved Zoro and Law during this who were desperately trying to keep their cool while still wanting to see ninjutsu techniques lol. Also Franky who spoke cold hard facts about all boys liking ninjas, my boi gets it.

Wow, Nico Robin deciphering a poneglyph for once and not just being reduced to a walking pair of balloon tits. Cool stuff with the road poneglyphs btw.

I kinda love Zou. Its pretty short but the reveals and twists are awesome and effectively setting up what comes next. Also Nekomamushi is a new favourite. Can he please join the Straw Hats?

Alright yeah, this episode was the best looking one they've ever had. But...

How is this lighting so good?! Why?!

JFC man, what even was that episode? I had goosebumps from start to finish
especially Luffy coming in and knocking down Kaido after that heartbreaking reunion with the Akazaya had me giddy like when Gohan turned SSJ2 for the first time
I live for episodes like this one.

Huge thanks to all the modern animation porn shounen titles that finally made Toei get off their asses somehow. I don't know how else this insane bump in animation quality for Wano can be explained.

Hi guys :)

This is going to be somewhat of a long post, so please forgive me for any inconvenience but I want to be completely honest.

I asked this question on a lot of forums, including this one a long time ago, and still didn't get an answer. In fact, if you searched for this question on google chances are the poster is me. And I also asked people that watch One Piece as well but I'm still looking for answers. And this question is one of the main reasons why I joined this forum. And I'm not doing this because of any malicious intent, I genuinely don't know the answer.

Also, a while back I had my PC completely formatted, so I lost all of the links to the posts that had this question, so I decided to ask the question again here and on a number of forums that I recently joined. Also, please note that I don’t read the One Piece manga.

My question is this:

In the Skypiea arc in the One Piece anime series, Enel, who is the main antagonist of that arc, says he's "god", is that true?

And if so, does he mean he’s A god, like Thor from the Marvel comic book franchise or does he mean he’s THE God, the one one that Muslims and Christians
pray to?

And did any of the Straw Hat Pirates believed him?

Enel is just a narcissist that happened upon an obscenely powerful magic fruit that gave him command over electricity. He considers himself a divine and invincible being because no one else was ever strong enough to stand up to him. The Straw Hats aren't from the Sky Island he rules over and thus never buy into his hype.

So I finally caught up on the anime. Now to catch up on the manga

Tbh it's been years since I was up to date as I like to leave gaps in watching so I can binge. I just watched from 890 all through to 1069 in the last few weeks and now I don't know what to do with myself. Probably watch the movies I skipped.

ep. 1071. Great!! Loved the homage to Speilberg, Warner Bros., and all the amination from the 30's/40's! Luffy finally is going to kick ass on Kaido! Biongy biongy biongy!

Episode 589: Chopper looks really funky. Chopper looks like he gained a lot of weight, and his design looks goofy.

I really like Nami’s design after the time skip. The long ginger hair really compliments Nami. But I’m really disliking Chopper’s new design and look in this ark. Chopper looks really wacky.

Episode 590: A fun crossover episode with characters from multiple franchises: Toriko & Dragon Ball Z & One Piece. The cast is enjoying a bountiful feast.

about time they brought back the older season(s) characters. I've been wondering what Black Beard was up to and the rest of the group. with Luffy's new found achievements I'm curious as to how this is going to turn out. not to mention what his new fighting style is going to be with other bad guys.

I hate how good 1015 was animated when the episode before it didnt start until 7 min in. like bro. I cant.
the pacing was actually good in 1015 as well.
but the episode before... began... 7 god damn minutes in and then repeated shit that was in the previous episode.
