I dislike NTR as a genre as much as anyone else, but I'm kinda curious about this one. I bet I'll regret starting it though

I'll bloody hate it's guts, but I'll be forcing myself to watch this probably with much regret.

I bloody hate NTR with every bone of my body.

NTR isn't something I enjoy watching, but a friend kept begging me to check out the manga. I guess I'll give it a try this winter :P

This is also going to be terrible, but I will say every time the term NTR comes up, I'll always remember this lovely description from LinkSword:

    Couldn't be more perfect.

I may not end up liking it, but I'll give it a whirl.

I mean from the description it sound pretty darn interesting, but I know it's going to be yet another bullshit for straight guys

Ugh, this thing. I forgot this was happening this season. Using a lesbian relationship as "Oh, so scandalous!" affair bullcrap pisses me off.

They'll make an anime out of this, but Wife And Wife ain't nowhere near getting an anime. I want happy gay, not angsty CW gay.

Honestly, I'm only going to watch this because it's Yuri.

But I'll repeat again, god I hate NTR.

    Episode 1:

It's Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita. without the hentai and the chick doesn't have a dick under her skirt. Other than that it's just as manipulative and rape-y. Remember kids, just because she says no doesn't mean you don't actually make her all doki doki. Just shove your tongue down her throat and see what happens.

I think the real travesty is that they didn't earn the rape-y bit. Narratively.

Okay, that's a bit flippant, but my point is the same: there's no setup to explain the action. Or, specifically, the bathroom scene is great for the start to a porno...but this isn't trying to be a porno. It's going for sexy, not smutty--and sexy needs context. (Consext? (No. Sorry. Regret that immediately.))
As such, the forceful kiss works, for me (even though the immediate context is admittedly a little weak). It's sexy, which is what it wants to be, but it also has...precedent, let's call it. There's some progression, of a sort, that would lead the two characters to find themselves there: an unexpected come-on, a lingering vulnerability, an exploited interest. It's just that the bit that gives the kiss some context is immediately cranked up to 11--and it did not need to be.

The friend is being aggressive, born of desperation at losing her chance to "have" the protagonist. It's not right, certainly--but it also shouldn't be wrong, here. It should fall into a sort of gray area--that is, it should be portrayed as a complex (and, yes, exploitatively erotic) relationship, instigated by a confusion (I assume) of love and lust. Emotions are weird; expressing emotions can be a dirty business. That's fine. Sincerity excuses a lot, in a story.

Which is why that bathroom scene is so awful. It entirely undercuts the excuse for the all the sexytime stuff--which is what this show is built on.
That said, the first two volumes of the manga are practically printed on the smooshed together bosoms of teenaged girls, so...maybe sincerity isn't a primary factor.

    Episode 1

Oh, God, what have I done to anger you so?
This was rape-y, manipulative and I only expect some type of coercion in the next episodes!
Where is this anime headed to? No mean yes, yes means anal?

It does come off a bit as No means yes and yes means anal. Which always makes me nervous.

Emotions are very hard to express, especially when muddied up with things like lust, but it didn't really come across terribly well.

    Yes.
About the anal. Two volumes in, penetration has not been a point of discussion, between the girls.

    Um...spoiler alert.

But, yeah, if this episode really put you off, it is my opinion that it might be best to drop this early. The story isn't going to...mature, let's say, in its portrayal of the, uh, romantic interactions.
