Thank you staff. I'm loving the additional information for the characters because sometimes I love to check what anime characters I share a birthday with

Sure it's cool but why do we need the voice actor's blood type?

It's like the equivalent of "What's your sign?" in Japan. We have created stereotypical personality "types" based on the months we were born in many countries (for example, Gemini are smart, passionate, good communicators, etc.).
For Japan, they say personality can be tied to your blood type (for example B-types are passionate, but selfish).

Its just one of those fun personality things. They use it a lot over there.

For characters, it also can show something about the intentions of how the character is viewed or a secret layer sometimes lol.

Like if you have a character who has a particular kind of personality, giving them a different 'bloodtype' from what seems shown can be a bit subversive or indicate hidden layers.

It's just a fun, interesting little thing. As for people you'll definitely hear seiyuu talk about their blood types and bond over them in interviews lol.

team have been working hard on this one, so I'm excited to see the feature launch

but I think this is a very fun feature and I hope everyone gets to enjoy it. I think it feels great to see more info about characters you love at a glance. it's a very satisfying feeling.

Pffft. But actually, blood type in Japanese culture is linked to predicting personality, like a zodiac. That's why a lot of anime and manga release character's blood types along with their other info.

Now all we need is for the names of opening and ending themes to be added onto the anime pages

    Very nice!

Oh hey, I recently watched Magi and now know where the character in your avatar is from :D

Perhaps all blood types are equally under his rule? :P

I think that would be a different kind of information than saying whether a real-life person is deceased. The life status of fictional characters is changeable (not to mention that fictional timelines can be reversed, split, re-explored, and so on); but for real people it's permanent and factual. So the death status for a fictional character might be more complicated than just dead or alive.
