I wanted to repost here a post I did in Reddit. (Also my brother did this again for me on my birthday this year too!)

This post is circa August 2020 but I wanted to post it here:

So my birthday was in July (2020) and during that time I had contracted COVID (I'm all better from it). Because of that I couldn't leave my apartment and I didn't feel like watching more anime. My brother sent me this "Sampler Pack" of Light Novels to check out. Now I am not normally into reading a lot of light novels (that habit has since changed and my collection has expanded) so my brother sent me these three books.

Rising of the Shield Hero Vol. 1-I had seen the anime so it was a known series to me

The Genius Prince's Guide to Rising a Nation Out of Debt Vol. 1-This was an unknown series to me (Have since read it and LOVE it)

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom Vol. 1-Had read a plot summary about the upcoming anime adaptation, looked interesting, and flagged for future watch.

I started reading How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, by the time I finished Volumes 2, 3, and 4 were ordered and going to be shipped. (I own all of the paperbacks that are out HIGHLY RECCOMMEND! Vol. 1-4 is a complete story arc) ((Also Funimation has the anime streaming now too!))

So as a gift idea, send to your friends and family a Sampler Pack of Volume 1s of Light Novels. Try to find a series they know of (Like heard extensively of or watched the anime), but never read, and then find 2 more novels that are similar. It makes for a great gift and if they like the series they can order more.
